Scorpio New Moon – October 30th, 2016: Mystical Merging

The Crystal Oracle

This New Moon in Scorpio at 7 degrees [1:38 PM EST] is quite bewitching with it’s trine to Neptune/South Node in Pisces and conjunction to Mercury. I pulled 3 cards from The Crystal Oracle and they tied into this New Moon perfectly.

Amber Keywords:PurificationCreativityTransparency.

Scorpio is very much a sign that deals with purification and purging. Transparency can be a challenge due to Scorpio’s private nature but with the New Moon’s trine to Neptune the veil between the physical world and mystical world will be quite thin. Neptunian energy, especially in Pisces, lacks boundaries and merging with those around us won’t be as challenging, but we still have to shield ourselves from absorbing too much. Psychic powers can be dangerous when not harnessed properly. Shielding yourself from energy vampires is a must. Scorpio’s ruler, Pluto possesses the purification abilities that Amber symbolizes and…

Libra New Moon – September 30th, 2016: Liberation & Re-Birth.

This New Moon (8 degrees) squares Mars/Pluto and quincunxes Neptune/South Node (Spiritual understanding) in Pisces. There’s a karmic/past life element with the Neptune/South Node conjunction as well, and this ties into the “Karmic Completion”card; heightened sensitivity (Neptune) from previous lives (South Node) and spiritual gifts from past incarnations. This New Moon reminds me of a baby coming through the birth canal; quite frightening, yet liberating.

Pluto’s (“Rebirth” card) square to the New Moon can create issues with power struggles. Are we harnessing our power or giving it away for the sake of peace (Libra)? What seems like conflict can actually push us into transformation/change and bring about positive libra-nm2transitions (“All is well”) Things are not as bad as they seem–or feel. Pluto’s direct station (September 26th) felt like “demons” being released, and that’s Pluto’s job. Emotional and psychological purging can be overwhelming yet necessary.

Venus enters Libra, August 29th, 2016 & The Virgo New Moon, September 1st, 2016: Spiritual Actualization

Posted on Updated on

Maat
Maat/Libra: Goddess of Truth & Justice.

Venus enters charming Libra on August 29th at 10:06 PM EST ushering in the kind of balanced and cooperative love we know we need and deserve. By no means is this a one-way street: Venus in Libra is about give and take; the ever poised peacemaker who is constantly giving life to beautiful ideas and expression.

Venus in Libra’s constant search for perfection/balance and idealistic beauty can often create unrealistic expectations that lead to disappointment.

On August 30th, Mercury stations Rx at 29’05 degrees Virgo. Retrograde phases are ideal for revisiting issues associated with the house Mercury is transiting in your natal chart. Confusion and difficulties may arise when it comes to receiving and interpreting information but the energy can still be used in a productive manner.

New Moon Eclipse in Virgo @ 9 Degrees – September 1st, 2016

This particular eclipse is intense, emotionally heavy, and steeped in mystical manifestation. With that being said, it’s an eclipse that needs to be handled with a certain level of caution.

The eclipse forms a stressful square to Saturn and this may create feelings of fear, negativity and defensiveness. Stressful Sun/Saturn aspects in particular can trigger insecurity and inferiority complexes causing us to become painfully aware of our shortcomings. Everyone may feel as though they’re a potential threat to us and conflict with authority figures (or those we perceive as authorative) may rear its ugly head. The flip side to this energy is a disciplined approach when it comes to responsibilities and bringing about results through hard work. Squares can be blessings in disguise; they force us to buckle down, work hard and not give up.

Virgo NM

The Moon’s square to Saturn can create creative blocks and threaten our desire for emotional security and stability. I feel as though this new moon is forcing us to take a long hard look at ourselves. Handling responsibilities may feel like a major drag right about now and there’s an overwhelming feeling of being—well—overwhelmed! Domestic (Moon) responsibilities (Saturn) can trigger emotional heaviness. This is the time of the year where parents (Sun/Moon) are preparing their children for the coming school year and summer fun is long behind us. As stressful as this aspect feels, there’s some symbolic nest building going on as well. Our houses need to be put in order and loose ends need tying up (Mercury Rx)

The new moon also opposes Neptune in Pisces. This energy can manifest in two ways: we may find ourselves wanting to “check-out” from some of the responsibilities we have and this can lead to escapist tendencies. The physical (Virgo) world can be extremely difficult to deal with when faced with the kinds of rigid (Saturn) energy. Or we can use these cosmic forces to bring some magic into our lives. There’s a seesaw effect with this new moon; swinging back and forth between the idealistic (Neptune in Pisces) and the practical/dependable nature of the new moon (Sun/Moon)

Balance is the key here: The new moons opposition to Neptune can be quite magical and mystical. We can use this energy to channel spiritual dimensions that can accelerate healing, growth and grounding.

New Moon in Aquarius – February 8th, 2016: Awakening & Emancipation

Posted on Updated on

nut8
Nut, Egyptian Goddess of air and the universe, stretching her body over the world to create the heavens.

Aquarius’ liberating energy graces us on February 8th (9:39 AM EST) with a new moon at 19’16 degrees. New Moons are the beginning phase of a cycle. During this time we plant seeds and hopefully they develop and come to fruition during the Full Moon phase. This is the reason why setting intentions during the new moon can be a powerful tool towards bringing awareness

Aquarius is the sign of liberation and freedom. Above all else during this time we need to question what we’re willing to fight for and what our place is when it comes to humanity. The new moons sextile to Uranus/Vesta in Aries brings about a forceful and radical approach to what we’re passionate about and the kinds of sacrifices we’re willing to make. Uranus’ conjunction to Vesta is encouraging us to take an innovative approach to how we master our inner flame and what we hold sacred. The Part of Fortunes placement with Uranus/Vesta points to success when we take a stand and dare to be different.

While the new moon chart is not a personal natal chart, the Sun/Moon in the 11th house of of groups, hopes, friends and our ambitions, is quite revealing. Friendships and alliances may be reformed during this period giving us a fresh perspective on what it is we really want from the people we associate with.

Uranus’ participation may bring about some unexpected changes that are sudden andAquarius New Moon bring with it some breakthroughs that are desperately needed. The new moons square to Mars in Scorpio has us striving to break free from anything that we may perceive is holding us back; There’s a strong sense of revolt with this new moon and a great need to take action, even if it’s done covertly (Mars in Scorpio) This need for extreme liberation may rear its head when it comes to relationships/commitment as well: Juno in Scorpio close to Mars in the 8th house of sex/death/transformation may have those of us who are feeling controlled, and possibly manipulated  by those we’re intimately involved with, looking for the nearest exit.

This energy is further supported by Mars’ quincunx to both Uranus and Vesta. If any attempt is made to control us or box us in or threaten our dedication (Vesta) to doing things our way, we’ll certainly show individuals what we’re made of.

The Sun/Moon in Aquarius also forms a quincunx to Jupiter/North Node in Virgo. Whether the need to reform is on a personal level or a universal one, it’s our souls purpose to expand and grow during this planetary phase. We’re being challenged to dare to be ourselves and we’re more than willing to make that happen. Expect flashes of insight, changes that are more than welcome, and creative juices that flow more freely than usual.

Healing crystals for the Aquarius New Moon: I’ve chosen stones that for me embody the electric and liberating energies that Aquarius possesses.

  • Amber – Aligns both the ethereal and physical energies in the body. Transmutes negative energies.
  • Amethyst – Balances the intellectual (Aquarius) emotional and physical. Clears the auric field.
  • Angelite – Raises consciousness and assists with astral travel.
  • Garnet – Aides in expansiveness, awareness and manifestation.

New Moon in Capricorn – January 9th, 2016: If we can dream it, we can achieve it.

Posted on Updated on

Sidney_Hall_-_Urania's_Mirror_-_CapricornusTonight’s Capricorn New Moon at 19 degrees (January 9th, 8:30 PM EST)brings with it the ambition and strong work ethic that gives us the ability to make our dreams a tangible reality. The New Moon forms a conjunction to Pallas (also known as, Pallas Athene) Zeus’ daughter; our ideas and thought process are brought to life through hard work and responsibility. The urge to get a move on and make things happen is quite strong with this New Moon. If you can dream it, you can achieve it, is the motto.

Our goals are further supported by the New Moon’s trine to Jupiter in Virgo. Our dreams are extended beyond the self and the strong earth energy gives us both focus and discipline. Capricorn likes to play by the rules, and their desire for status and success gives them the drive to reach the highest of mountains. We may find ourselves wanting to impress the right people; just make sure you’re doing it for the right reasons.Over doing it (Jupiter can go overboard) can create a certain level of greediness when it comes to rubbing elbows with the right people and our desires.

Cardinal signs (Capricorn, Aries, Libra and Cancer) between 18-20 degrees will more than likely be impacted the most. The house where the New Moon transits will be illuminated bringing with it a pragmatic approach and the New Moon’s opposition to Earth in Cancer brings balance between self-control/caution and emotional connecting.

Capricorn’s symbol, the sea-goat, has the ability to explore the hidden depths of the soul while reaching the seemingly impossible heights of success. The New Moon’s wide conjunction to Pluto adds even more power to our need to succeed.

Venus and Saturn in Sagittarius form a tight conjunction encouraging us to accept responsibility, be committed, yet do so with an adventurous spirit and positive outlook. Stressful aspects between Venus/Saturn can often have a dismal approach to life, but the conjunction forms a trine to Uranus. We can work towards being disciplined without sacrificing our individuality. Uranus’ square to the Moon/Sun creates exciting and unique ways to make our dreams come true.

Neptune in Pisces trines Mars in Scorpio brings the gift of acting on our dreams. Our fantasies aren’t merely in the deepest part of the subconscious; we can actually act on these ideals and visions, bringing them to life. Career goals and achievement are the focus during this New Moon. We’re more than willing and prepared to deal with our duties; creating tangible results in the process.

The Adoration of The Magi, Jacob Cornelisz van Oostsanen, c.1510-c.1515

Today’s New Moon greets us at 19 degrees Scorpio. This is a New Moon of great personal power. It’s no secret that Scorpio is often known as the manipulative sign. This New Moon is encouraging us to use our powers in more constructive ways. Scorpio’s ruler, Pluto, governed the underworld in Greek mythology. Pluto creates, destroys, then re-creates; what better way to celebrate this New Moon with a bit of ego destruction and shadow work?

Scorpio was quite the seductress in previous lives, often yearned for and hated by those around them. Often in positions of power, they were not above using their psychic gifts to control those around them. Working on issues surrounding control and power struggles is highly suggested. Writing a list of the things you can control verses the things you cannot  can be helpful as well.Scorpio New Moon

The New Moon’s sextile to Jupiter makes the process of transformation a pleasant treat. Scorpio is the psychologist of the Zodiac; our intuitive abilities are at a heightened state. The hypnotic magnetism of this New Moon cannot be denied. Those who practice sex magick can especially benefit from this cunning energy. Focusing on psychic powers, telepathy and dream work are a few activities one can work on during this New Moon.

The dark goddess, Lilith, forms a wide conjunction to Venus; Lilith isn’t interested in being controlled. She owns her own sexuality. She is very much the revolutionary with shamanic and sexual healing powers. Channel this divine feminine energy for your rituals, healing and self-love work. This is the perfect combination for those who feel as though they have lost their power. If this is you, now is the time to reclaim it.

Again, don’t take this New Moon lightly! The Moon is extremely powerful but even more so when she’s in Scorpio.

New Moon in Libra – October 12th, 2015: Relationship Goals

Posted on Updated on

LibpThis evenings focus is “We” instead of “Me” with the lunar energy shifting into Libra. Our sense of self is actually strengthened through interactions with others. The New Moon’s opposition to Uranus in Aries can usher in major insights and radical new ways of relating to others, while Mercury’s conjunction to Juno, Jupiter’s wife and the divine consort, gives us the ability to express our needs within relationships in a balanced manner.

Jupiter in Virgo conjuncts Mars and trines Pluto in Capricorn giving detail and expansion to action. Action can be hindered when Mars is in meticulous Virgo–we spend more time criticizing ourselves instead of taking action–yet the conjunction to Jupiter gives us just the boost we need. Jupiter in Virgo gives a somewhat disciplined approach; it’s trine to Pluto gives promise to big dreams, goals, and ambitions and possibly increase in wealth! Our philosophical views need to be shared with others as well. Jupiter/Pluto allows us to touch others on a grand scale, but don’t abuse your powers!

Libra NM

Healing Stones for the Libra New Moon: I’ve chosen stones that resonate with Libras ruler, Venus. While forming balanced unions with others is wonderful, don’t forget your inner union. Having a good relationship with yourself is key to having good partnerships.

  • Morganite – Allows one to open up to the possibility of love.
  • Pink Tourmaline – Love, spirituality and peace.
  • Bloodstone – One of Libras stones. Helps heal sacral energy issues.
  • Prehnite – Another stone associated with Libra. Use for divine and angel guidance.

New Moon in Leo – August 14th, 2015: Royalty and Loyalty

Posted on Updated on

WRIGJ2This is a radiant New Moon with lot’s of star power. I wouldn’t expect anything less of regal Leo. We’re definitely feeling ourselves with the New Moon conjunct expansive Jupiter but we’re more than willing to share the love with the conjunction to Venus and Eros. The trine to radical Uranus in Aries encourages us to stand out from the pack and exploit our uniqueness. Our pride is magnified this New Moon; we’re not interested in taking a backseat to anyone or anything during this time. Those around us are either for us or against us. Leo expects complete devotion and loyalty. It’s all or nothing.

Practical Mercury in Virgo opposite Neptune in Pisces points to creativity and strong imaginative skills, yet we may have some issues when it comes to the follow through. Our antennas are definitely sensitive to the thought and ideas of others. Try not to take it too personal. Dreaming is wonderful, healing in fact, but bringing dreams and ideas to fruition requires discipline. Scattered ideas an miscommunication may leave us feeling mentally drained and a bit exhausted.

Venus conjunct Jupiter has us feeling generous and indulgent. Venus’s square to Saturn fortunately reign us in, giving us a cosmic reminder not to go overboard.

Vesta, daughter of Cronos/Saturn and Rhea, is the goddess of sacred spaces. Astrologically she symbolizes the sacred in every day life; Vetsa in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn; here we have the internal struggle of intergrating service/sacrifice and power/transformation. This New Moon certainly gives us the tools we need to face the challenge.

Healing stones for this particular New Moon:

I’ve chosen stones that embody the fiery/solar energy of Leo. Red and Orange stones in particular embody fire, energy, passion and the Sun.

  • Red Jasper – For courage (perfect for Leo’s lion symbolism) and self-esteem issues.
  • Garnet – For strength, will power and bringing dreams/goals to fruition.
  • Rubicelle – For releasing blockages and releasing fear.

July 8th: Cancer New Moon–Nurturing Ideas

Posted on Updated on

WRIGJ3BCancer is associated with powerful emotional attachments, our past, family and childhood. With the Sun, Moon, Mercury and expansive Jupiter in the sign of the crab this energy will be magnetized. Cancer encourages us to be in tune with our emotional needs as well as the needs of those around us. Cancer is ruled by the Moon, so this New Moon will be particularly potent.

The Cancer sun squares Uranus in Aries creating a restless and spontaneous tension that will push us to seek more adventure, freedom and self discovery. We may find ourselves feeling a juxtaposition of emotionalism and instability. With the Moon in Cancer our moods will be fluctuating and our need to withdraw will be strong. Allow yourself to feel what you need to feel in order to heal, and then keep it moving. With the Sun (ego/self) so close to the Moon (emotional needs) we have to be careful of being one-sided about things. Yet we know what we need (moon) and how to go about getting it (sun)

Mercury rules communication, how we express ourselves and our thought process. Our way of thinking may be based more on intuition and feeling than actual logic. Mercury forms a conjunction with the new moon; communication will be especially important this time around. Mercury went retrograde on June 26th at 22 Degrees and will station direct on July 20th at 13 Degrees. Think before you speak, for our emotions are super strong during this period. Retrograde phases are also excellent for reviewing work and taking the time to review all aspects of your life as well. There is a strong creative energy with this new moon as well. We can nurture (moon/Cancer) our creativity in new ways. New Moons are all about fresh starts so use this energy to start new projects connected with lunar/cancer: such as renovating your home, decorating, planning family outings, cooking, taking care of loved ones and treating yourself.

Taurus Solar Eclipse 2013: The Material Plane

Posted on Updated on

WRIGJ4

I’ve been meditating on this chart for the past few days, mainly because this Eclipse will land in my natal 8th house conjunct my Vertex @ 22 Degrees Taurus. The past few months have been a roller coaster ride for me and I’m still trying to make sense of it all. As a Pisces I don’t find myself focusing on money and resources too much (could it be my Neptune in the second house?) But after a court case I had last month (which ruled in my favor) I’ve been really taking some time out to think about how I view money and how I tend to handle money matters. I think this Solar Eclipse is going to give us some insight into resources, what we value and our financial situations.

Taurus is very much a sign associated with security and comfort. Ruled by Venus this sign is extremely fixed in nature and isn’t very quick to budge. Once Taurus digs it’s heels in you can forget it! This Eclipse is telling us to dig in our heels in terms of creating a solid foundation for ourselves.  Lord of the underworld Pluto is opposite Ceres in Cancer. Ceres was Persephone’s mother and goddess of the harvest. Ceres symbolizes not only loss, but fertility and re-birth.  She represents separation with the hopes of a reunion. Have your lost something that you hope will return? Now is the time for us to accept that while we may have lost something, the Universe is making room for us to gain so much more. Pluto will force us to dig through quite a bit during this Eclipse. There is definitely a pot of gold at the end of this rainbow but we’re going to have to be extremely disciplined and focused in order to get our hands on it.  We will be forced to make some decisions in terms of home, career and money. I also see us dealing with family dilemmas that we may have been avoiding, especially in our homes.

Personally I know I’ll be forced to climb a lot of mountains to get what I want. This Eclipse will be making some lovely aspects to my Natal Sun, Venus and Mars, yet I know there is still quite a bit of work I need to do in terms of grounding myself and setting clear goals. I want to spend more time working on this site, interacting more with clients. I feel like my eyes have been opened to certain realities and the Universe has given me a second chance to correct a lot of things. I feel thankful and humbled. My New Moon wishes during this Eclipse will be about prosperity and balance between my spiritual/metaphysical world and the physical world.

Healing Stones For Taurus

  • Agate – Protects from stress and draining energy
  • Azurite – Wonderful for the third-eye and detoxifying the body
  • Emerald – Heals the heart and it’s at it’s most powerful during full/new moons.
